Belong to Me, by Shayla Black

Okay, So I know I've said that I'm not an EROTIC fan, but if this is the way they're all written, I say sign me up for the next one. Ms Black not only takes you in with a well written book, she wrapps you up and slaps you with it. In a good way. I couldn't put the book down, well, couldn't put my iPad down. From the very first page until it's all said and done, I was lost. Had to stop a few times for a smoke break, but I was lost. Don't take my word for it. Get "Belong To Me" and read it for yourself.

There's no other review I can give but a resounding 5 wings. Awsome book, Ms. Black

Sounds To Die By --written by Nikki Duncan

As I've mentioned before, I've been remiss in my reading, and I'm just now getting around to reading the the first in the sensory ops series. I have to say, I can't believe it's taken me this long to get caught up in Nikki's writing. From the very beginning, she pulls you into the story and makes you believe. Well paced and well written, and HOT HOT HOT. This is a must read, and when I'm done with this blog, I'll be reading the second in the series, Scent of Persuasion.

I highly recommend getting this book, and the next one, and the next. in fact, stop by Nikki's website to see what else she has up her sleeve. http://nikkiduncan.com/

Awesome read, I give Sounds To Die By a four wing rating!

Stairlift To Heaven, by Terry Ravenscroft

WARNING!!! do not read this while eating, drinking, or with a full bladder. EXTREMELY HILARIOUS!

I am in no way near my twilight years, but there are a few things in this book that I need to try for myself. If you're in the mood for a good laugh, you have got to download this book. From almost the first page, I was in tears, the good kind, and my husband told me more than once that I was crazy. If laughing out loud is crazy, then call me a loon, buy this book, and join me in the padded room.

The trouble with Terry, and after reading about the last 5 years of his life, I feel comfortable calling him by his christian name, is he will have you hooked, wondering what in the world he's up to now. At the tender age of 71, Terry is breaking into the U.S. market. Even if you don't have a good grasp on the English language (not American English, but the Queen's English) you will enjoy this book.  Look for Stairlift to Heaven at http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/B0058NXFVU/ref=sib_dp_kd#reader-link

As I'm still laughing over the antics of this funny man, I have to give him a full four wing rating. Thank you Terry for making my week.

What I've Been Reading This Week 9- 30- 2011

powerfulmagic

I know I'm late, but I gave myself a deadline for my own writing and I needed to get that done. But I have been reading. I have such a long list of books I just never made the time to read, and this week’s gem is the first in the magic series by author Karen Whiddon, Powerful Magic. Now, here was story I could sink my teeth into, or was it the hero? Anyway, I love time travel, I loved this book, and I love the fact that I couldn't put it down.

Karen takes you into a world of real magic, drawing you in and making you see through the eyes of her characters. An essential read. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself at I give Karen's Powerful Magic a solid four wing rating.

What I've Been Reading This Week 9-17-2011

What can I say?
WOW!

"A bitter crisp to the air told me it would snow soon. I hated winter."

This was how the book started, and had me hooked.  I couldn't put it down, no matter how hard I tried. I'm not a writer of Erotic, nor do I read it often, but this book had me turning pages to see what would happen next.

Well done, Brindle

Although I enjoyed reading "Dark Is The Night" I'm giving it a 3 wing raiting. As I said, I rarely read erotic, but the rating doesn't take away from a well written story.
What I've Been Reading This Week 9-10-2011

I've been lacking in my reading. I know that an important part of becoming a good writer is reading works by other writers, but as I've been spending so much time on my own books, I've forgotten there are other's out there that depend on the reader.

I have to say that Nora Roberts, AKA J. D. Robb, is my favorite, therefor, she's my first choice for this new page in my blog WHAT I'M READING THIS WEEK

Treachery In Death, by far, has to be the best in the IN DEATH series. Cover to cover, page by page, I was swept into the world of Eve Dallas, gripped by her strength, and immersed in her emotions.

I highly recommend TREACHERY IN DEATH, and in fact give it a five wing rating.
